Over The Bridge is a privately owned Bed & Breakfast. Our clients wanted us to design the interior for the lounge in their private quarters. One that was cosy and luxurious. An area they could call their own away from the busy life of the B&B!
Over the Bridge is a building full of character, with beams and a fantastic vaulted ceiling. And the room and floor space was a great size.
Making the most of the light and space, our brief was to introduce contemporary modern feel with an emphasis on colour, comfort and relaxation. We also had the freedom to introduce some striking features and a bit of the unusual.
The solution was a large feature wall able to carry a very bold Black and Metallic patterned paper, giving the room interest and depth without absorbing the light. The room was able to take furniture that was large, contemporary and most importantly comfortable. An ‘L’Shaped Sofa, big armchair and footstool were custom made in warm velvet fabrics. Red was used as the accent colour in the room, bringing the whole scheme together. Made to measure curtains were chosen
